February 2024, Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in Bengkulu Province is 3.17 percent

Abstract

The total labor force of Bengkulu Province in February 2024 is 1,116,138 people, a decrease of 14,035 people compared to February 2023. The Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) decreased by 1.79 percentage points.

The working population is 1,080,744 people, a decrease of 13,109 people compared to February 2023. The jobs that experienced the largest percentage increase compared to February 2023 were the Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries Sector (1.88 percentage points). While the sector that experienced the largest decline, namely the Large Trade and Retail Sector (3.15 percentage points).

A total of 697,181 people (64.51 per cent) worked in informal activities, down by 5.47 percentage points compared to February 2023.

The February 2024 open unemployment rate (TPT) was 3.17 percent, down 0.04 percentage points compared to February 2023.

The percentage of underemployed workers rose by 0.80 percentage points, and the percentage of part-time workers rose by 1.63 percentage points compared to February 2023.
