Abstract

In June 2024, international visitor arrivals in Indonesia were 1.17 million. International visitors increased by 2.05 percent compared to May 2024 (m-to-m) and 9.99 percent compared to June 2023 (y-on-y). International visitor arrivals in June 2024 were dominated by Malaysian (16.11 percent), Singaporean (13.44 percent), and Australian (12.33 percent).
Cumulatively, international visitor arrivals from January to June 2024 increased by 21.02 percent compared with the same period in 2023. The international visitor arrival was mainly recorded at Ngurah Rai Airport-Bali and Soekarno Hatta Airport-Banten.
In June 2024, the number of outbound trips was 900.06 thousand trips. It increased by 43.63 percent compared to May 2024 (m-to-m), and 77.09 percent compared to the same month in the previous year (y-on-y). Malaysia became the leading destination country for outbound trips in June 2024 (32.05 percent), followed by Saudi Arabia (16.05 percent), Singapore (13.23 percent), and Thailand (5.83 percent).
The room occupancy rate (ROR) of star hotels in June 2024 was 54.69 percent, which increased by 1.02 percentage points compared to June 2023 (y-on-y) and 0.66 percentage points compared to the previous month (m-to-m). Meanwhile, the room occupancy rate of non-star hotels was 27.65 percent, which increased by 3.07 percentage points compared with June 2023 (y-on-y) and 0.54 percentage points compared to the previous month (m-to-m). The average length of stay at star hotels in June 2024 was 1.61 nights, decreased by 0.05 points compared to June 2023.
