Abstract

In May 2024, Indonesia's National Wholesale Price Index changed by 3.47 percent compared with May 2023 (year-on-year/y-on-y). The most significant change in the index is in the Agriculture Sector, which increased by 8.38 percent.
The year-on-year price change in May 2024 was contributed mainly by rice, cacao beans, filtered cigarettes with cloves, oil palms, and gingers.
The WPI in May 2024 decreased by 0.04 percent month-to-month (m-to-m) and increased by 1.82 percent year-to-date (y-to-d).
The WPI Construction Materials in May 2024 changed by 0.78 percent year-on-year, partly due to the increasing prices of sands, diesel fuel, stone for construction foundations, asphalt, and aggregate.
