Abstract

The number of domestic air transport passengers departing in June 2024 was 5.4 million, an increase of 2.80 percent compared to May 2024. Meanwhile, the number of international air transport passengers decreased by 2.70 percent to 1.6 million. The freight transported by domestic air transport decreased by 5.79 percent to 48.8 thousand tons. From January to June 2024, the number of domestic air transport passengers was 30.4 million, increasing by 0.71 percent. The number of international air transport passengers was 8.9 million, which increased by 25.61 percent compared to the same period in 2023. Moreover, freight increased by 7.31 percent to 312.5 thousand tons.
The number of domestic sea transport passengers departing in June 2024 was 2.3 million, increasing by 5.94 percent compared to May 2024. The freight transported by domestic sea transport decreased by 5.77 percent, turning 30.2 million tons. From January to June 2024, the number of domestic sea transport passengers reached 12.4 million and increased by 23.69 percent compared to the same period in 2023. Meanwhile, freight decreased by 0.58 percent, reaching 179.6 million tons.
The number of railway passengers departing in June 2024 was 35.0 million people, which decreased by 0.41 percent compared to May 2024. Furthermore, freight transported by train decreased by 2.20 percent to 6.2 million tons. The number of passengers reached 203.8 million from January to June 2024 and increased by 15.52 percent compared to the same period in 2023. Moreover, the cumulative freight transported by train rose 8.58 percent to 35.2 million tons.
