The Number of Domestic Sea Transport Passengers Departing in April 2024 Increased by 36.05 Percent Compared to March 2024.

Abstract

Abstract

The number of domestic air transport passengers departing in April 2024 was 5.9 million, an increase of 30.63 percent compared to March 2024. International air transport passengers increased by 11.45 percent to 1.5 million. Meanwhile, the freight transported by domestic air transport decreased by 16.72 percent to 47.8 thousand tons. From January to April 2024, the number of domestic air transport passengers was 19.9 million, increasing by 3.44 percent. The number of international air transport passengers was 5.7 million, which increased by 29.74 percent compared to the same period in 2023. Moreover, freight increased by 9.98 percent to 210.4 thousand tons.
The number of domestic sea transport passengers departing in April 2024 was recorded at 2.1 million, increasing by 36.05 percent compared to March 2024. The freight transported by domestic sea transport decreased by 7.30 percent, turning 27.7 million tons. From January to April 2024, the number of domestic sea transport passengers reached 6.8 million and increased by 10.32 percent compared to the same period in 2023. Meanwhile, freight increased
by 1.44 percent, reaching 114.2 million tons.
The number of railway passengers departing in April 2024 was 34.8
million people, which increased by 6.31 percent compared to March 2024. Furthermore, freight transported by train increased by 2.19 percent to 5.8 million tons. The number of passengers reached 133.7 million from January to April 2024 and increased by 16.43 percent compared to the same period in 2023. Moreover, the cumulative freight transported by train rose 5.83 percent to 22.5 million tons.
