Abstract

In August 2024, Indonesia National Wholesale Price Index changed by 2.82 percent compared with August 2023 (year-on-year/y-on-y). The most significant change in the index is in the Agriculture Sector, which increased by 4.01 percent.
The August 2024 year-on-year price change was mainly due to rice, oil palms, ginger, filtered cigarettes with cloves, and coffee beans.
The WPI in August 2024 decreased by 0.12 percent month-to-month (m-to-m) and increased by 1.52 percent year-to-date (y-to-d).
The WPI Construction Materials in August 2024 changed by 1.24 percent year-on-year, partly due to the increasing prices of diesel fuel, sands, stone for construction foundations, asphalt, and cement.
