Abstract

In October 2024, Indonesia's National Wholesale Price Index changed by 1.95 percent compared with October 2023 (year-on-year/y-on-y). The Mining and Quarrying Sector experienced the most significant change, increasing by 2.21 percent.
The year-on-year price change in October 2024 was mainly due to oil palms, filtered cigarettes with cloves, coffee beans, palm/coconut kernel cooking oils, and roasted coffee beans.
The WPI in October 2024 decreased by 0.02 percent month-to-month (m-to-m) and increased by 1.32 percent year-to-date (y-to-d).
The WPI Construction Materials in October 2024 changed by 0.37 percent year-on-year, partly due to the increasing prices of sands, cement, asphalt, stone for construction foundations, and construction steel.
